The jerseys are a Tour Da Yoop staple and are extremely important. Yes, they look very cool, but beyond that, they stand for something that is incredibly important to all bikers—safety. TDY was formed for and maintains a primary purpose of making biking a safer sport for all to enjoy. Wearing the jerseys is the loudest way we can continue to spread that word.

Orange Camo
The Rider’s Orange Camo Jersey is the signature jersey for the the 1,200 mile annual event and self-supported ride.
The main theme is a eye-catching white front and bright blaze-orange camo pattern in the back.
The athletic sides and shoulders change in color or style through the years.
Seeing a peloton of orange camo jerseys down a country road is jaw-dropping!
Red Plaid
If you see someone wearing Red Plaid, it means they biked the entire perimeter of the U.P. in just 10 days of riding. That’s 1,200 miles in just 10 days.
Some did it in 10 consecutive days, and some finished over multiple years. No matter the method, it’s hard! Visit the hall of plaid to discover its wearers.
The Upper Peninsula is known for plaid, and we embrace it. The Red Plaid Jersey is a crazy cool emblem for those who accomplish an incredible challenge.
Green Plaid
Plaid, like pasties, is a U.P. thing. Safety green plaid fading to black makes a statement. It is also the pinnacle gift of The Journey challenge.
Wearers of this jersey have pulled off an amazing feat and have one hell of an adventure to share. They likely stayed in a combination of tents, hotels, and cabins. They explored vast areas of the U.P. on their bike and took the time to smell the roses along the way. We believe green is the perfect color to solidify their accomplishment. BiKE UP was created to gain attention by the biking community, safety planners, and U.P. commerce while highlighting the interior of the U.P.
The jersey showcases something the U.P. is known for, and invites people to explore something many haven’t discovered—asphalt.

Loop Da Yoop invites you to do some crazy fun exploring in your favorite U.P. communities.
We get emails from around the country on a weekly basis asking where to road bike in the U.P. Loop Da Yoop is the answer. Grab your bike, take a road trip, and get groovy. When you wear the Loop Da Yoop Jersey, you are telling everyone about the awesome and safe biking the U.P. has to offer.
Biking is a giant, awesome community. Loop Da Yoop creates a super community within that.
